Neville after operating a 200 acre stud farm which we still run on a reduced scale (our stud bred a classic winner in Dara Monarch winner of the Irish 2000 Guineas and St James Palace Stakes at Ascot) We still retain several of our most successful bloodlines. In the 1980s the stud progressed to training their own horses and developed into taking out a public license in the late 80s before moving to our present base which was purchased from Bill Elsey on his retirement this was done in order to take advantage of the traditions and history of Highfield.

We are a small yard not exceeding 30 horses in order to maximize individual attention; we do not intend to train large numbers. (Never under estimate a minority)

We are located at Malton which is central to numerous Racecourses our stables are part of the original famous training establishment where the legendary Captain Charles Elsey enjoyed classic success while for many years been a leading trainer in the country.

Our facilities include our own old turf grass gallops in 50 acres of private training grounds including several railed turnout paddocks with an all weather 1 mile gallop under construction. Plus we also have our own weigh bridge to give us the benefit of measuring the weight of our horses.

Our horses are housed in modern American style barns and they have the benefit of a large indoor sand exercise schooling arena plus a mechanical horse exerciser they also have access to the famous extensive Langton Wold training and schooling facilities.

Our horses also have the benefit of our own private natural High-Calcium underground water supply, this is invaluable for the development of young stock, and the filtration of this supply through the limestone naturally guarantees that no harmful chemicals are added.
